With one year still to go, Carleton's Capital Campaign tally continues to climb with powerful momentum. This year alone the university received more than 16,000 gifts, with donations and pledges totalling nearly $11 million.

In appreciation of the memory and generosity of Phyllis Wilson
In 1942, when the brand-new Carleton College held its first day of registration, a reporter from the Ottawa Journal was on hand to document the occasion. Her name was Phyllis Wilson, then a young woman of 25, a graduate of Queen's and just two years into a career that would eventually see her mentor an entire generation of Carleton journalism students.
