    When Inspector Dale Sheehan, BA/83, heard about Carleton University’s mentorship program, he knew he wanted to get involved.

    During a recent visit to Ohio State University, Michael Burrows found himself thinking of Carleton.

  • In memoriam -- Basil Mogridge: 1933 - 2003
    The Carleton University community was saddened to learn about the passing of Basil Mogridge after returning from travel in Europe on Friday, April 18. He was 69.

  • In memoriam -- Don McGillivray: 1927 – 2003
    Don McGillivray, who for many years taught the fourth-year business and economics reporting course, and the second-year introduction to reporting in Carleton’s school of journalism and communication, died in Victoria on June 24, 2003. He was 76.

  • In memoriam -- Gerald Shannon
    Gerald Shannon, BJ/57, died April 26, 2003, following a long career of public service.

  • In memoriam -- Dr. J (John) Wilson Eedy: 1944 – 2003
    Dr. J. Wilson Eedy, a scientist and humanitarian, died suddenly in Nigeria on June 23, 2003.

    Carleton University and the family of Ardeth Wood are establishing a memorial fund to commemorate the life and memory of Ardeth, who died tragically on August 6, 2003, at the age of 27.

    Corinne Smith, MJ/03, accepts the prestigious European Union-Canada Young Journalist Award from Mitchell Sharp, former federal Minister of External Affairs, at a ceremony in Ottawa on June 24.
